The Ukrainian Defence Forces managed to advance 400 metres in the Svatove direction in Luhansk Region thanks to a counterattack, the commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Col-Gen Oleksandr Syrskyy, has said.
"Even numerical superiority does not help the enemy. As an example, I would like to note the work of a 92nd Separate Mechanised Brigade unit, which not only repelled the enemy's attack in the Svatove sector, but also successfully counterattacked and advanced 400 metres on its back. Another example is the successful actions of the 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade, who liberated a large area of territory in the area of Ivanivskyy forest step by step, using competent tactical actions," Syrskyy said.
