During the day, Russia carried out more than 40 air strikes and fired 60 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in its evening update.
The attacks caused casualties among the civilian population, including children, critical infrastructure facilities have been damaged, more than 20 residential buildings, a school and other civilian infrastructure have been destroyed or damaged.
Russian troops continue to focus their main efforts on the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiyivka and Maryinka sectors, where heavy fighting continues. There were 17 combat engagements over the day.
