President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak have responded to British Defence Secretary Ben Wallace's remark that Britain is "not Amazon" in terms of arms supplies to Ukraine.

At a meeting with the media following the NATO summit in Vilnius, Zelenskyy said he did not quite understand how Ukraine should thank its partners for their support.

"It seems to me that we have always been very grateful to the UK, always grateful to the Prime Minister, to the Minister of Defence, Mr Wallace, because indeed the people of Britain have always supported Ukrainians. We are very grateful for that. I just don't know what he means, how else we should thank him. Let him write to me and tell me how we should thank people so that we are fully grateful. We can also wake up in the morning and thank the minister. Personally," the president said.

"Maybe the minister wants something special... I should call him today," Zelenskyy joked.

At a press conference in Lithuania, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said that Volodymyr Zelenskyy had "repeatedly expressed his gratitude", Sky News reports.

"I know he and his people are incredibly grateful," Sunak said.

Earlier, UK Defence Secretary Ben Wallace, commenting on the supply of military aid to Ukraine, said that "we are not Amazon" and that the UK should pay more attention to thanking its partners for their support.
