The Ukrainian military is making progress in the Berdyansk sector, having advanced by more than a kilometre, Valeriy Shershen, a spokesman for the Tavriya Defence Forces, told the telethon.
"The situation remains unchanged in the Melitopol sector, while in the Berdyansk sector we have seen an advance into the depths of the enemy's defences by more than 1 km along a certain frontline," he said.
Ukrainian troops are consolidating their positions, conducting aerial reconnaissance, clearing mines and continuing to carry out firing missions.
Shershen also added that the Russians continue to storm Ukrainian positions near Avdiyivka and Maryinka. Russians carried out 22 attacks over the last day, most of them - 15 attacks - in the area of Maryinka.
