The wreckage of attack drones fell in several Kyiv districts following a Russian air attack in the early hours of 2 August, mayor Vitaliy Klitschko and the Kyiv city military administration have reported.
Odesa Region was also attacked by UAVs. According to updated reports, the drones hit the port infrastructure again.
In Kyiv’s Solomyanskyy district, debris hit a non-residential building. In Svyatoshynskyy district, a tree caught fire and a building was also damaged.
According to Klitschko, reports about the explosion in Holosiyivskyy district have not been confirmed, but the Kyiv city military administration says that some debris fell there.
Russia used groups of Shahed drones to approach Kyiv simultaneously from several directions. "However, all air targets - more than 10 UAVs - were detected and destroyed in a timely manner by air defence forces and means. As of this minute, debris has fallen in Solomyanskyy, Holosiyivskyy, and Svyatoshynskyy districts of Kyiv. There is damage to non-residential buildings and road surfaces," Serhiy Popko, head of the Kyiv city military administration, reported as of 5 a.m.
The State Emergency Service only mentioned the fall in Solomyanskyy district.
"The facade of the administrative building from the 9th to the 11th floor was damaged. Rescuers examined the damaged building at the site of the shelling. There was no fire. Fortunately, there were no casualties," it said.
