Russian troops are trying to carry out assaults in the Kupyansk, Lyman and Svatove sectors, Deputy Defence Minister Hanna Malyar has told the telethon.
"The enemy's attacks are most noticeable in the Kupyansk and Lyman sectors, but they are also trying to attack in the Svatove sector. We have been repelling enemy attacks there all day today. I must say that for the second day in a row we have been recording an increase in enemy attacks in the Bakhmut sector, and in fact our troops are under continuous artillery fire in all these areas," she said.
According to Malyar, Russian troops are not advancing, but very fierce fighting continues. As for the Bakhmut sector, the Defence Forces are advancing in the southern direction, while on the northern flank Russian troops are trying to regain their former positions, but have not been successful.
