Russian occupying troops have attacked Kharkiv with drones, according to mayor Ihor Terekhov. “At least three hits. All are in the centre of the city, in densely populated areas," said Terekhov.
He added that one of the drones destroyed two floors of one of the dorms, where the fire is now raging. Units of the State Emergency Service are working on the spot, and the information about the victims is currently being clarified.
"Explosions are going off in Shevchenkivskyy district," Terekhov wrote.
He added that there have already been three explosions in Kharkiv.
Later it was informed, that around midnight on 1 August, the Russians hit Kharkiv with "Shaheds". There is a hit in a three-story building of an educational institution in the Saltiv district. No casualties, reports the head of the Kharkiv Military Administration Oleg Synyehubov via Telegram.
According to the report, two floors of the building were destroyed and a fire broke out. There are no casualties.
Three more hits were recorded on the territory of the sports complex in the Shevchenkiv district. Two-storey building is damaged. A 63-year-old security guard is injured and hospitalised.
During the 31 July, the enemy shelled Chuguyiv, Bogoduhiv, Kharkiv, Izyum and Kupyansk districts. Particularly Udy, Veterinarne, Staritsa, Vovchansk, Kolodyazne, Novomlynsk and other localities were under enemy fire. Residential buildings, commercial buildings were damaged, and fires broke out.
Pyrotechnicians of the State Emergency Service neutralised 50 explosive objects during the day. In the Kupyansk direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully repelled another attempt of an enemy assault in the area east of Berestovo yesterday.
