The Ukrainian Armed Forces will find a weakness in the Russian defence and make a breakthrough, the commander of the National Guard of Ukraine, Col Oleksandr Pivnenko, has said in an interview with Ukrayinska Pravda.
According to him, one should not expect the Ukrainian Armed Forces to reach Crimea "in one throw", but the offensive continues, and there are "surprises" waiting for the Russians.
"If we are moving forward, this is already a result. That is, everyone remembers the operation in the Izyum sector and thinks that it will be like that. But no, it doesn't happen that way. For us, every metre is an achievement. And we are moving forward," said Pivnenko.
He added that "the time will come when we will make a breakthrough in some direction".
"And it's not a fact that it will be where someone thinks. We will find a loophole and enter, and everything will be fine. And they will lose a lot of our territories. We are in a not very good situation because Russia is a big country with big resources. But we know that we have no way out - we will reach the borders of 1991. It will take time," he said.
