Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is likely to head to New York in September for the United Nations General Assembly. "Live participation is not excluded," diplomatic sources told LB.ua.

At the same time, according to our information, the head of state will not present a "peace formula", as previously reported by the Bloomberg agency.

"The president had previously presented the peace formula at a meeting of the UN Security Council, and on 23 February 2023, it formed the basis of the General Assembly resolution "On a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in Ukraine." During the current session, it will not be a "presentation", but its promotion and informing countries about the implementation of individual clauses of the formula", LB.ua sources noted.

At the same time, the Ukrainian side intends to expand the geography by inviting a certain number of states to join President Zelenskyy’s peace initiative.

In addition, as the Brazilian broadcaster Globo wrote with reference to the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Brazil has confirmed participation in the "peace summit" in Saudi Arabia, but the delegation has not yet been formed. In an interview, Zelenskyy said that Brasília and President Lula da Silva could do a lot to end the war in Ukraine, particularly help to implement one of the points of the Ukrainian peace formula.

The head of the President's Office, Andriy Yermak, confirmed the meeting of Ukrainian peace talks in Saudi Arabia. As the American newspaper The Wall Street Journal wrote, the negotiations will take place on 5 and 6 August in Jeddah. High-ranking officials from 30 countries will be present there.
