Around 11 o'clock in the morning the Russian army shelled the city clinical hospital in Kherson. First it was informed about the injured nurse. Later, the head of Kherson Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin added that four more doctors were injured.
"They were diagnosed with a concussion and an acute reaction to stress. The victims were given medical assistance, and now they are not in danger. Overall, this Russian terrorist attack took the life of one doctor, and five others were injured," he said.
Oleksandr Prokudin specified that the deceased was an ENT doctor. The nurse has a jaw injury.
The hospital building and a car were damaged, reported the Prosecutor General's Office.
Under the procedural leadership of the Kherson District Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation was started on the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
"A direct hit in the operating room of the Kherson City Clinical Hospital. Terrorists killed a young doctor who had his first working day after the internship. A nurse was injured," the Ministry of Health said.
Two floors of the hospital were damaged. The rubble cleaning continues, the final number of victims is unknown.
As of March 2023, the Russians damaged about 1,000 medical facilities in Ukraine.
Yesterday, the Russians killed four civilians in the Kherson region, another 18 were wounded. The enemy intensified shelling of the regional center. Military Administration connects this with the fact that a new batch of invaders arrived on the left bank, where the Russians had great losses.
