On the night of 2 August, the Russian army attacked the central part of Kherson. As a result of enemy fire, two people were wounded, announced the head of Kherson Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin in Telegram.
It is noted that at 03:55 the occupiers hit a residential block of Kherson. The enemy once again targeted the houses of the locals. Rescuers extinguished the fires that broke out.
"Two people were injured. A 56-year-old woman was hospitalised in a moderate condition, and doctors provided assistance to a 59-year-old man on the spot," the message states.
In the morning, shelling of the center of Kherson continued. The occupiers hit the bank, as well as the home of a 78-year-old woman. The building was damaged, the woman was not injured.
The Prosecutor General's Office specified that the occupiers had previously attacked the city with barrel artillery and mortars. Under the procedural leadership of the Kherson District Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation was started on the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Yesterday, Russians carried out 74 attacks on the Kherson region, firing 441 shells from mortars, artillery, "Hrads", tanks, drones and aviation. One person died, eight injured.
