On the night of 2 August, the Russian army again attacked port infrastructure used for export of Ukrainian grain. The Russians used Shahed attack drones to strike the south of Odesa Region.
As a result of the attack, a fire broke out at port and industrial infrastructure facilities and an elevator were damaged, the head of the regional military administration, Oleh Kiper, has said on Telegram.
"As of 05:30, there were no reports of casualties. The military command will give the final report," he added.
The Prosecutor-General's Office provided updated information: the damage and destruction were caused to the elevator, grain storage, tanks of one of the cargo terminals, production, warehouse and administrative premises. The three-storey building of the Sea Port Terminal also sustained significant damage.
