Ukraine's air defence intercepted over a dozen of Russian-launched Iranian-made Shahed attack drones near Kyiv last night.
"The eighth attack in a row by Shahed barrage munitions on Kyiv. And again, like yesterday, it was a massive attack. Nearly a dozen air targets were detected and destroyed by air defence forces and means on the approach to Kyiv," Serhiy Popko, head of the Kyiv city military administration, said.
The night air alert in Kyiv - the 820th for the capital since the start of the full-scale invasion - lasted exactly 3 hours. No casualties or damage have been reported.
Last night, Russia again attacked Ukraine with kamikaze drones. Air raid alarms were heard in the northern, central, eastern and southern regions. At 1:42 a.m., the Kyiv city military administration announced that air defences were operating in Kyiv Region and near the capital and urged residents to take care of their safety and stay in shelters.
