Over the past week, Ukraine's Defence Forces have liberated 3 sq km in the Bakhmut sector, Deputy Defence Minister Hanna Malyar has said at the Military Media Centre.
In total, 40 sq km have been liberated on the southern flank of the Bakhmut sector.
"The enemy tried to regain lost positions in the areas west of Klishchiyivka, Andriyivka and Kurdyumivka this week," she added.
According to her, Ukrainian troops have made progress in Urozhayne on the southern front. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are conducting an offensive in the Melitopol and Berdyansk directions.
Malyar added that the Defence Forces had "some success" south and southeast of Staromayorsk, and are gaining ground in certain areas.
Also, the Ukrainian military successfully completed tasks on the left (eastern) bank of the Dnipro River in Kherson Region.
"Certain units performed certain tasks there, of course, we cannot disclose what exactly has been done, but they coped with these tasks. In order to gain a foothold there, we need to displace the enemy and clear the territory," said Malyar.
