Ukraine has already repaired five nuclear power units, and four more are in the pipeline, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has said on Facebook.

"We understand the high probability that the Russians will continue large-scale attacks on the power system. As for NPPs: five nuclear units have been repaired, four more are under repair. As for TPPs: 62% of the planned power units have been repaired. As for CHPPs: 70% have been repaired," Shmyhal said.

In addition, 32 hydroelectric power units have been repaired and are under repair. Ukrenergo has repaired trunk power grids by almost 80%. High-voltage substations have already been restored to pre-war levels.

Earlier, the government said it planned to add 2.9 GW of capacity to the grid by December 2023.
