Statements about the alleged advance of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the eastern (left) bank of the Dnipro River in Kherson Region are harmful to the defenders, Natalya Humenyuk, spokesperson for the Ukrainian Defence Forces South, has told the news telethon.

"Such analysts' talks and speculations on 'what if' are very harmful to us. We need to trust those who are doing this combat work, listen and heed them, as they are the people who are under enemy fire. In order to avoid causing tension and retaliation against the civilian population, there is an information silence," said Humenyuk.

At the same time, she did not deny that the Ukrainian military did conduct operations on the left bank of Kherson Region.

"Certain operations that were carried out in that area have already been completed. We continue counter-battery operations, but the ongoing media hype is very harmful to our defenders, who are now under heavy fire due to an escalation in the situation," she said.

According to her, reaching the left bank of the Dnipro River in Kherson Region means coming under enemy fire, so it is important to follow the "logic of operations".
