On the night of 14 August, Russia carried out several waves of attacks with attack drones and Kalibr cruise missiles. The UAVs were launched from the southeast (Primorsko-Akhtarsk), and the Kalibr missiles from the Black Sea (a frigate near Yalta), the Ukrainian Air Force Command has reported.
In total, Russia launched 15 Shahed-136/131 strike UAVs and eight Kalibr cruise missiles.
"Air defence forces and means of the Air Force, in cooperation with units of other components of the Defence Forces, destroyed all targets. Anti-aircraft guided missiles and small arms of close cover units were used," the Ukrainian Air Force said.
A fire broke out in several locations in Odesa due to the fall of missile and drone debris. Rescuers are working at the scene.
"And there is good news in the end. At about 05:00 on 14 August 2023, an enemy helicopter (type to be specified) was destroyed by an anti-aircraft missile unit of the Air Force in the Bakhmut sector," the military added.
Over the past day, Russian troops launched two missile attacks, 43 air strikes and about 55 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of our troops and populated areas.
