Belgium will hand over Sea Sparrow surface-to-air missiles to Ukraine, which it bought from Germany, reports Militarny with reference to L'Echo.

Germany used Sea Sparrow on its Bremen frigates.

In total, Belgium bought eight missiles for our country. The cost of each is about 7,000 euros.

Last week, Belgian Defence Minister Ludivine Dedonder announced the strengthening of Ukraine's air defence.

In addition to missiles, Belgium plans to provide Ukraine with equipment worth 150mn euros.

It is not yet known what platform the Sea Sparrow will be used from. Earlier it became known that Ukraine and

Poland are working to integrate these missiles into the 9A310 self-propelled gun from the Buk air defence system.

Earlier it was reported that Ukraine would receive Belgian Leopard-1 tanks. In addition, Belgium and the Netherlands will provide our country with M113 armored personnel carriers. Before that, the equipment will be repaired.
