The President's Office hinted at the liberation of Klishchiyivka, south of Bakhmut.
The head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak, posted a photo with the Ukrainian military.
He wrote on his Telegram: "Ukraine always gets back what it owns" and posted a photo with the Ukrainian military.
It should be added that the photo shows the flags of the Tsunami Regiment and the Lutyy Brigade of the National Guard. The photo was previously posted on social media and was allegedly taken in the village of Klishchiyivka. There is currently no official information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Later it was reported, that active hostilities are still taking place in the village of Klishchiyivka, Donetsk Region, south of the occupied Bakhmut.
This was reported on Sunday afternoon, 17 September, by the press service of the joint assault brigade of the National Police "Rage", according to Suspilne.
"Active assault operations are underway in Klishchiyivka, and we cannot confirm one hundred percent control over the settlement as of now," the statement said.
Finally, it was approved that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have liberated Klishchiyivka. This was reported to Suspilne by the head of the press service of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ilya Yevlash.
"We confirm the liberation of Klishchiyivka by the 80th Air Assault Brigade, the 5th Assault Brigade, and the "Luty" Brigade. Klishchiyivka is ours," noted Ilya Yevlash.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, soldiers of the National Police Brigade "Lutyy" together with soldiers of the 80th Air Assault Brigade and the 5th Air Assault Brigade drove the Russian occupiers away after heavy fighting and returned the Ukrainian flag to the liberated Klishchiyivka.
The liberation of the village was confirmed by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"Today, I would like to pay special tribute to the soldiers who are returning Ukraine's land step by step in the area of Bakhmut. The 80th Air Assault Brigade, the 5th Separate Assault Brigade, the glorious 95th and the Joint Assault Brigade of the National Police "Rage". Klishchiyivka! Well done!" he said in his address.
On 16 September, it was reported that the Ukrainian military were making progress in the areas of Klishchiyivka, Andriyivka and Kurdyumivka.
On 15 September, the Third Separate Assault Brigade reported details of the liberation of Andriyivka, Donetsk Region. As a result of a lightning-fast operation by the defenders, the enemy garrison of Andriivka near Bakhmut was surrounded, cut off from the main forces and destroyed.
