Throughout the night, Russians repeatedly attacked the Poltava Region.

"Enemy is attacking Poltava. Stay in shelters until the air raid is over. More details later," wrote Dmytro Lunin, the head of Poltava Regional Military Administration, at 3:19 a.m.

At 7:33, he added that the air defence forces "worked well on enemy UAVs."

"Unfortunately, there was a hit on the Kremenchuk Oil Refinery. A fire has occurred. All relevant services are working at the site. The refinery's operations have been temporarily suspended," Lunin noted.

As of now, there are no reported casualties.

The Kremenchuk Oil Refinery has been a target of enemy shelling before, dating back to the early stages of the full-scale invasion, particularly in April and May.

The refinery was among the top five enterprises identified by the KSE Institute that suffered the most during the full-scale war by the end of 2022. The facility had already ceased operations in the spring, and it was doubted that it could be restored by the end of 2022.

On 28 August, the occupiers shelled Poltava Region, hitting an industrial site in the town of Hoholeve in Myrhorod district, resulting in the loss of four lives.
