Today President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed the law on opening e-declarations. This is evidenced by the card of the draft law 9534 on the website of the Verkhovna Rada.

Earlier, on 20 September, the Verkhovna Rada took into account the president's veto of the bill with the opening of declarations in a year. MPs approved the decision to open the declarations to the public immediately.

Despite public calls, on 5 September, the Verkhovna Rada passed a bill with only partial disclosure of declarations. The possibility to keep their assets hidden was extended for another year, allowing them to be disclosed on a voluntary basis. Against the backdrop of numerous journalistic investigations into MPs' expensive acquisitions during the war, this decision caused outrage, so a petition to veto the document quickly gathered the necessary votes for consideration.
