Russian troops have surrounded Avdiyivka in Donetsk Region from three sides and are constantly shelling and gathering forces for new offensives, Anton Kotsukon, a representative of the 110th Separate Mechanised Brigade, has told the news telethon.
"They have brought here 40,000 of reserve personnel, are amassing ammunition of all calibres. So far we do not see them abandoning their plans to capture Avdiyivka," Kotsukon said.
According to him, the Russians are regrouping. At the same time, they are conducting daily spot attacks, which have become more cautious. Obviously, they have drawn conclusions from previous unsuccessful assaults.
"Lately, they have been sending small groups of 10-20 people, and we are destroying them, this is done in order to detect our artillery with drones. In fact, they are live-luring us," he added.
