Vice President of the Association of International Road Carriers Volodymyr Balin said that another Ukrainian driver died in Poland in a parking lot near the Korczowa-Krakowiec checkpoint, where Polish carriers are on strike, Suspilne reports.
"This morning we received information that a driver died last night in Korczowa in a car park. Unfortunately, this is the second casualty since the beginning of the blockade. I understand that most likely it is due to physiology, but one way or another, the stress they are under because of this strike, because they have to live in cabs and it is not clear when they will be able to get to Ukraine, adds to the negative and causes certain situations. The medical and law enforcement agencies will deal with it, but it is a fact," he said.
According to Balin, the deceased driver had a car with Kharkiv licence. He also noted that he knew the driver's name, but did not reveal it.
On 11 November, a 54-year-old truck driver from Ukraine died in Poland in a car park near the Dorohusk-Yahodyn checkpoint while waiting to cross the border.
