On 19 November, the Ukrainian Defence Forces successfully attacked a group of servicemen from Russia's 810th Marine Brigade in the village of Kumachove in Donetsk region, the Ukrainian Armed Forces' Strategic Communications Centre has confirmed.
According to Russian sources, at the time of the strike, the servicemen were gathering to celebrate the so-called Day of the Russian Artilleryman.
"The Ukrainian Defence Forces promptly identified the location of the Russians' festivities and sent their warm greetings!" the Armed Forces noted.
Russian propagandists claim that the accurate strike killed several dozen servicemen at once, and about a hundred were seriously wounded.
Moscow actress Polina Menshikh, who arrived in the occupied part of Ukraine to entertain the Russian troops, was also killed.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces also called it revenge for the recent attack on the Ukrainian 128th Brigade in Zaporizhzhya Region.
