Russia significantly increased its activity yesterday and is using armoured vehicles.
In the Tavriya sector, the Russians carried out 17 air strikes, four missile attacks, 56 combat engagements and fired 1,006 artillery rounds. The commander of the Tavria operational and strategic grouping of troops, Oleksandr Tarnavskyy, said this on Telegram.
"Our defenders are steadfastly holding the defence in the Avdiyivka sector. Total enemy losses amounted to 639 people. Another four occupants surrendered," he said.
48 units of military equipment were destroyed. In particular, four tanks, seven armoured personnel carriers, four artillery systems, 22 UAVs, nine vehicles, one unit of special equipment and another important enemy object were destroyed. Another 33 pieces of enemy equipment were damaged.
At the same time, the offensive continues in the Melitopol sector.
