The head of the European Solidarity faction, Petro Poroshenko, has called the decision of the Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Oleksandr Korniyenko, illegal and is preparing legal documents to initiate a criminal case. Poroshenko said this at a briefing.

"We are preparing a number of legal documents. The first is a statement about a crime, about the initiation of a criminal case against the parliamentary leadership, which made an illegal decision (to cancel Poroshenko's business trip). It does not comply with the law on the status of an MP, the law on regulations, the Constitution and other laws of Ukraine," he said.

Poroshenko also added that "a decision has been made to appeal against the illegal government resolution, which, contrary to the legislation of Ukraine, contrary to the Constitution, and the Cabinet of Ministers' regulations, restricts the activities of MPs."

"If representatives of the ruling team have problems when they visit Thailand, Oman, Barcelona, etc. during a large-scale aggression, it is the internal political situation of the Servants of the People and other political forces," he said.

The head of the EU faction added that his visit was planned to Poland, where he was to meet with the leadership of the Sejm and politicians to discuss the issue of carriers.

"Immediately after the talks with Poland, a trip to the United States was planned, where meetings were scheduled from 2 to 7 December. On 7 December, we were to return to Warsaw and drive all night to Ukraine to start work in the Verkhovna Rada on 8 December," he explained.
