The wife of the head of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU), Kyrylo Budanov, Marianna, is in a satisfactory condition, the spokesman for the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Andriy Yusov has reported.
"She has undergone treatment in a Ukrainian clinic and is doing well now thanks to the professionalism of Ukrainian doctors," Yusov said.
He stressed that the treatment process is lengthy. In the future, medical supervision and regular examinations will continue.
Yusov also noted that an internal investigation is currently underway. It is being conducted by the internal security unit of the Main Intelligence Directorate.
As previously reported, the wife of the DIU chief Kyrylo Budanov, Marianna, was poisoned with heavy metals. Several other DIU employees were also confirmed to have been poisoned.
