Yermak: Increasing arms production in Ukraine, US, other NATO members to be discussed in Washington on 6-7 December
Andriy Yermak

On 6 and 7 December, a two-day joint US-Ukraine conference on mutual defence will be held in Washington, DC, the head of the office of the president of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, has said in an article for NewsMax.

The event will focus on strengthening defence industry cooperation to significantly increase arms production in Ukraine, the United States and other NATO member states.

"Increased cooperation between Ukrainian and American defense industry companies is already helping to strengthen the US military as stocks of old weapons and ammunition are replaced with newer and more modern materials," Yermak said.

Much of the aid provided by the USA goes directly to US defence contractors, providing new jobs for skilled US workers.

"We believe that there is still plenty of potential for increased cooperation," Yermak added.

He noted that the "axis of evil", which previously included Iran, Iraq and North Korea, is expanding. And for it, the United States is the number one target. Ukraine, while fighting the Russian invasion, can remain free only with the support of its partners, he added. Therefore, cooperation in defence strategies between Ukraine and NATO will deter common enemies.
