The head of the Servant of the People faction, Davyd Arakhamiya, said that many MPs want to resign from parliament.
"In fact, the number of people who want to leave parliament is much higher. We are no longer letting people go... We are saying that we just won't vote for it," the MP said in a commentary to the Rada TV channel, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
According to Arakhamiya, due to the new challenges, it is necessary to optimise the work of parliament and reduce the minimum number of MPs in groups.
This is necessary to ensure that " before the new convocation, parliament, conditionally, will work in approximately the same structural mode as it had at the start".
Over the past month, some MPs have already given up their seats. In particular, these are Maksym Yefimov (Revival faction), Dmytro Shpenov (unaffiliated), Vitaliy Danilov (Fatherland faction).
This leaves 401 MPs in parliament.
