The secretary of the National Security and Defence Council, Oleksiy Danilov, told the BBC that proposals on mobilisation would be considered at the next meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff.
"We are now launching a new programme, and we have discussed this issue several times at the meetings of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff. I think that in the near future there will be new initiatives, including legislative ones, in this regard," Danilov said.
According to him, this issue is currently being comprehensively developed.
"This includes the involvement of recruitment companies and many other things... I would not like to give a definitive answer now, because I emphasise once again that it is work in progress. The only thing I can say is that the president gave instructions that this issue should be finally prepared at the next meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff," he said.
When asked whether Ukraine has enough people to continue fighting, Danilov said: "When you go to war, you will constantly lack three things. You will not have enough time, you will not have enough weapons, and you will not have enough people."
That is why, according to him, the art of the military in such a situation is to achieve victory.
