On the night of 17 December, Russia attacked Ukraine with an Iskander-K cruise missile, a Kh-59 guided missile (launch areas: Crimea and occupied Kherson Region), and 20 Shahed attack drones, Ukraine's Air Force has reported.
The Shahed missiles were launched from the areas of Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia) and Chauda (Crimea). All air targets were destroyed within Odesa, Kherson, Zaporizhzhya and Khmelnytskyy regions.
As a result of combat operations, 20 Shaheds and one Kh-59 guided missile were shot down. The Iskander-K cruise missile did not reach its target.
Anti-aircraft missile units and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Air Force and Defence Forces are involved in repelling the air attack.
The General Staff said that Russia attacked Ukraine with 34 drones on the night of 17 December.
