"In addition to improving the efficiency of the company's management, a strong supervisory board should become a beacon for partners and an impetus for attracting new investments," said First Deputy Prime Minister Yuliya Svyrydenko.
The formation of the supervisory board is part of the corporate governance reform.
Naftogaz is Ukraine's largest state-owned company, the country's first hydrocarbon producer and a national hydrocarbon import and transit contractor. The company's supervisory board consists of four independent directors and three state representatives.
