The head of the Joint Coordination Press Centre of the Southern Ukrainian Defence Forces, Nataliya Humenyuk, said during a telethon that a Russian Shahed during the latest attack on Ukraine flew several tens of kilometres over the territory of Moldova, RBC-Ukraine reports.

"One of the drones, which was aimed at Odesa Region, had very difficult manoeuvring. Obviously, a route was provocatively laid out to cross the state border on its Ukrainian-Moldovan section. We recorded this border crossing. After flying for several dozen kilometres, the drone returned to Ukrainian airspace and was destroyed by air defence forces," said Humenyuk.

Commenting on the reaction of Chisinau, which denied that a Russian drone had flown through Moldova, the speaker noted that they most likely did not have enough information on the matter.

"Unfortunately, we have already had this experience during a full-scale invasion. First, they say that nothing happened, and then the situation is clarified. It is likely that the preliminary information was not very thoroughly checked. We will continue to work with our partners. I think that the situation will be clarified soon enough," added Humenyuk.
