Russian agent was exposed and detained in Kharkiv, who was conducting additional reconnaissance for the occupiers, targeting Russian missiles at the city and waiting for the enemy army, hoping to get a desired place in the administration. This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine.

The unemployed local resident, who was recruited by enemy special services at the end of last year, was exposed by SBU cyber specialists. The woman is an ideological supporter of racism.

In addition, she was a particularly valuable agent for the enemy, as she performed a "controlling" function for the Russian special services. In particular, the defendant would go to the area and check the coordinates sent to her by the Russians.

During the reconnaissance, the traitor took photos of the "necessary" objects, marked them on Google maps and sent the corresponding "report" via messenger.

"According to the investigation, in her correspondence with the enemy, the agent called for more frequent shelling of Kharkiv to cause maximum damage to the city," the SBU said.

She also hoped to capture the regional centre and "annex" it to Russia.

SBU officers exposed the offender at the initial stage of her intelligence activity. This made it possible to document her criminal actions step by step, detain her and thus prevent a series of missile attacks on the city.

"The offender cooperated with the aggressor because she hoped that in case of capture of Kharkiv, she would get a "position" in the occupation administration of Russia," the SBU said.

During the searches, the SBU found a phone with evidence of reconnaissance and subversive activities in favour of the Russian special service.

SBU investigators have now served the detainee a notice of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law).

The offender is in custody. She faces life imprisonment.
