The Command of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on its Telegram page that soldiers of the 73rd Maritime Centre were killed.
The servicemen were ensuring the withdrawal of the group's main forces after completing a special task. Unfortunately, they had to take the last stand.
"The heroic and extremely difficult combat work of the Special Forces units on land, at sea and deep behind enemy lines is the daily contribution of the Special Forces soldiers to the victory over the enemy," the command reminded.
The message claimed that the operation in question concerned a landing on the Tendra Spit off the coast of Kherson Region, but the SOF did not provide official confirmation.
