On 29 February, a fire broke out on one of the boats of the Coast Guard of the Russian FSB Border Service in the Sea of Azov. This was reported by the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.
According to intercepted conversations, the fire engulfed the Russian vessel's wheelhouse. Five occupants are known to have been killed.
The crew of the boat urgently requested an evacuation team. The cause of the fire on the boat, as well as the nature of the Russia's losses, are being clarified.
