Sweden will join the Czech initiative to purchase ammunition for Ukraine from third countries and allocate 30 million euros for this purpose, the Swedish embassy in the Czech Republic reports.
"Finally, we can go official: Sweden is joining the Czech initiative to supply Ukraine with much-needed artillery ammunition with 30 million euros," the embassy said.
The embassy also added that the Swedish government is allocating 30 million euros (approximately CZK 755 million) for the purchase of ammunition.
Sweden recently announced the largest aid package to Ukraine yet, worth SEK 7.1 billion ($683 million).
