The occupiers' large amphibious assault ship Yamal, attacked in Crimea on 23 March, sustained critical damage. A hole in the upper deck caused the ship to roll to starboard, the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine reported.
"The Yamal was damaged as a result of an attack on the Russian Black Sea Fleet ship repair plant in Sevastopol. Among other vessels, this large amphibious assault ship was moored there.
"According to Ukraine's defence intelligence, the damage to the Yamal is critical: a hole in the upper deck caused the ship to bank to starboard. The occupiers are continuously pumping water out of the damaged ship, which took part in the annexation of Crimea and was undergoing repairs from 2017 to 2023," the DIU said.
Information about other damage to the Russian fleet will be clarified.
