A part of the building of the Boychuk Academy of Decorative and Applied Arts and Design was destroyed in a Russian strike on Kyiv.
Students and professors did not have time to take shelter as the first explosions occurred a few seconds after the alarm. Missile fragments fell into neighbouring buildings, said acting Minister of Culture and Information Policy Rostyslav Karandeyev.
"The gym, congress hall and exhibition centre are completely destroyed. According to preliminary information, no one was killed. The head of the laboratory was injured and taken to the nearest hospital," he said.
The Mykhaylo Boychuk Kyiv State Academy of Decorative and Applied Arts and Design was founded in 1938. It has two faculties.
