Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion, Ukraine has shot down more than 2,000 Russian cruise and ballistic missiles, the Ukrainian Defence Ministry said.
"This is the result of the titanic work of Ukraine's air defences. Thousands of lives have been saved by modern air defence systems provided by our partners. However, Ukraine still needs more air defence systems to protect our people from Russian terror," the ministry said.
The Defence Ministry also noted that civilian infrastructure remains the main target of Russian strikes.
In his evening video address last night, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that from 18 to 24 March, Russian occupiers fired nearly 190 missiles of various types and launched nearly 140 Shaheds and 700 guided aerial bombs at Ukraine.
