The Netherlands plans to start sending F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine in autumn after Denmark.
This was announced by Dutch Defence Minister Kajsa Ollongren, Delfi reports.
According to her, such a delivery schedule is provided for in the plans of the allies.
"We have everything planned according to the project, which involves training Ukrainian pilots, training maintenance personnel and transferring real aircraft. We are planning to open a training centre in Romania, where we are also helping to start training Ukrainians. They are currently being trained in Denmark, the US and other countries. And if we manage to stay on this path, and everything works for Ukraine, of course, in their own country, Denmark will deliver the first aircraft this summer," said Ollongren.
The minister added that the fighter jets will be delivered to Ukraine in batches.
