The head of Poland's military counterintelligence service, Jarosław Stróżyk, said in an interview with Dziennik Gazeta Prawna that Putin is already ready for a small military operation against a NATO country, RBK-Ukraine reports.
According to him, all forecasts of Russia's readiness for a potential attack on a NATO country from think tanks are based only on certain assumptions, as they do not have complete information.
"Putin, of course, is already ready for some kind of mini-operation against one of the Baltic states, for example, to enter the famous Narva. Or to land on one of the Swedish islands," Stróżyk said.
At the same time, Stróżyk said, Putin's intentions are being stopped by the West's position. What the West is doing together to support Ukraine shows him that if NATO were attacked, the Western response would be even greater.
Recently, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said that Putin wants to dominate the European continent. She noted that this is not a theoretical threat, but a declared goal. The European Commission President also stressed that Europe is currently being flooded with disinformation and manipulation from Russia, which should help weaken support for Ukraine.
