The Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, has allowed the resumption of journalists' access to the parliament, which had been suspended since the beginning of the full-scale war. He signed the relevant order, the Verkhovna Rada reported.

The media will now be able to cover the activities of the Verkhovna Rada directly from its building. However, no more than 30 correspondents will be able to be in the parliament at the same time - this was explained by the number of seats in the shelter.

"Today, the necessary conditions have been created for media representatives to cover the work of the single legislative body. This includes specially equipped workplaces, a place for briefings, recording interviews, broadcasting meetings, etc.," the parliament assured.

  • On 1 May, Stefanchuk announced that access to the Verkhovna Rada for journalists would be restored. The press will be allowed on the third floor of the parliament, similar to what happened during the coronavirus pandemic.
  • Journalists will have to be accredited.
