Commenting on the Day of Remembrance and Victory over Nazism in World War II and the current war in Ukraine, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyy noted that the latter is Nazism with a Russian face.
This is stated in a post on the Facebook page of the Commander-in-Chief.
"On 8 May, Ukraine celebrates the Day of Remembrance and Victory over Nazism in World War II. Millions of Ukrainians gave their lives to defeat Nazism. Today, we are back to those times and are forced to defend ourselves against the Nazi invasion - the bombing of peaceful cities, atrocities and abuse of civilians, the deportation of our children, but now it is Nazism with a Russian face," Syrskyy said.
He noted that Ukrainian soldiers are now fighting the Russian occupiers "to prevent the evil resuscitated in the Kremlin from engulfing the whole of Europe". The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine called on the international community to unite for victory.
"Once again, just like 79 years ago, the unity of the entire civilised world is needed to defeat Nazism. Only together can we stop Russian Nazism and win!", - said Syrskyy.
