Zelenskyy dismisses Zaluzhnyy from military service

Zaluzhnyy was dismissed for health reasons. In March, the President approved the candidacy of Valeriy Zaluzhnyy for the post of Ambassador of Ukraine to the United Kingdom.

President and Supreme Commander-in-Chief Volodymyr Zelenskyy has dismissed former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhnyy from military service. 

This is stated in Decree No. 309/2024 of 8 May 2024. 

"To dismiss General Zaluzhnyy Valeriy Fedorovych from military service in retirement for health reasons with the right to wear military uniforms," the document says.
