At night, air defence forces destroyed 17 of the 20 Russian Shaheds that attacked Ukraine.
This was reported by the Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk.
"On the night of 9 May 2024, the enemy attacked with 20 Shahed-131/136 attack UAVs from Cape Chauda - Crimea," he wrote on Telegram.
It is noted that as a result of combat operations, anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Force and mobile fire groups of the Defence Forces destroyed 17 attack UAVs in Odesa Region.
