In the United States, a group of pilots from the Ukrainian Air Force has completed a training course on F-16 fighter jets. This was reported by Politico with reference to Erin Hannigan, a spokeswoman for the US Air National Guard.
The Ukrainians were trained on Western aircraft at the 162nd Air National Guard Brigade in Arizona. The US military does not disclose the number of graduates or the specific date of completion of the training due to extraordinary security measures.
However, journalists have learned that after completing the course, the pilots travelled to Europe, where they will receive additional training.
According to Politico, Ukraine is to receive a total of more than 60 F-16s from Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium and Norway.
