The defence forces destroyed 24 of the 25 Shaheds launched by the Russians at night, and the Russian occupiers also attacked Ukraine with two missiles.

‘On the night of 2 June 2024, the Russian invaders attacked Ukraine with an Iskander-K cruise missile from Crimea in the direction of Kharkiv Region, an S-300 anti-aircraft guided missile from the occupied Donetsk Region, and 25 Shahed-131/136 strike UAVs from Cape Chauda (Crimea), the districts of Yeysk and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Russia,’ the statement said.
The defenders of the skies shot down 24 Shaheds in Mykolayiv, Odesa, Kherson, Kyiv, Khmelnytskyy, Dnipro, Kirovohrad, and Vinnytsya regions.
The enemy attack was repelled by fighter aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Force and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defence Forces, and electronic warfare equipment was used.
