The city of Vovchansk in Kharkiv Region, where the Russian army launched an offensive on 10 May, is 70% controlled by the Ukrainian military.
This was stated by Nazar Voloshyn, spokesman for the Khortytsya operational and strategic group of troops, during a telethon.
‘Fierce battles with the occupiers continue on the outskirts and in the town, and the enemy keeps trying to advance or gain a foothold with small assault groups,’ he said.
Ukraine's Armed Forces are doing everything to prevent Russian troops from gaining a foothold and are keeping them under fire control, particularly in the area of the Vovcha River, to prevent the occupiers from crossing to the other side.
