On the night of 6 June 2024, the Russian occupiers launched 18 Shahed-131/136 attack drones over the territory of Ukraine and also struck the Dnipropetrovsk Region with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles.
According to the Air Force Commander, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk, Ukrainian air defence shot down 17 Russian drones.
The occupiers fired missiles from Taganrog, Russia, and drones from Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Russia, and Cape Chauda, Crimea.
As a result of the air combat, 17 attack UAVs were shot down in Mykolayiv, Kherson, Zaporizhzhya and Khmelnytskyy Regions.
The Russia's air attack was repelled by mobile firing groups of the Ukrainian Defence Forces, anti-aircraft missile troops, fighter aircraft and electronic warfare units of the Air Force.
